Default Can i just take it off?

I purchased a non emission edelbrock aluminum intake off of Ebay. I assume this means there is no place for the egr valve to connect i am really not sure. If so can i just remove the egr valve maybe just disconnect it? I also bought the edelbrock carb that goes with it. I guess i should have paid more attention to the listing hopefully i can still use the intake.

Yes, you can remove the EGR valve and plug the hole, except if you live in a state with an emission control legislation.
Maybe it's time to go with headers too, if you still have the stock exhaust manifold...
Did you check the height of the manifold + carb + air cleaner before ordering ( hood clearance ) ?

You can post the intake no. or a pic. When you switch intakes the egr valve can stay on it if not needed on new intake. All you would need to do is block the egr vac. line (at the source rec.).
