i see people putting down some kind of sticky alluminum foil stuff do i need to do this the stuff is very expensive from what i have found?
is their a cheeper brand for this stuff?
...1.dont have any instructions on where the sound deadener gos on the car...
The assembly instruction manual (AIM) shows the factory installation of the sound deadner, carpet, seats and seat belts, etc. Order a copy of the AIM. It helps.

Reflectix. You can find a roll of it at Lowe's. You do not specifically need it, but it does offer an additional heat barrier under the carpets. Since the old carpets will be out any way, why not install it?
If it's sticky and expensive, it's Dynamat or B Quiet, another brand which is equivalent and a little cheaper. Used for sound deadening, a bit of a pain to install (ask me how I know this). The reflectix for heat insulation is cheap and easy, and might even help a little for sound.
