Take a look at what appears to be under his car. Looks like a cone, but on closer inspection maybe that is one beside the car on the left? (Next to last picture)

I took the in car video with a small wireless camera mounted using 2 headliner screw holes, it is behind the t-top pillar. I actually ran novice class this time, next time I will probably have to run street tire.
My brother got the wireless video camera with sound from http://www.x10.com. It actually was kinda complicated to get it all working. First there is the 4 AA battery powered camera that is mounted on an unused paint stirring stick(flat and about a foot long) that has 2 holes drilled that coincide with the headliner screws. The wireless reciever runs on 12 volts, so I just got a 6 amp hour battery (general purpose) and wired that up to power the reciever. The reciever then goes to a crappy old 8mm tape camcorder (battery powered) that has sound and video input via composite input(rca cord). Everything but the wireless camera I just put in the rear compartment. The x10 camera has a very directional antenna, so it didn't work to have the vcr in a different car. Surprisingly, all three sets of batteries lasted for the necessary amount of time to record everything, I turned everything off for the breaks. For simplicity's sake, I will probably try to get a good small and light camera that would be safe to attach with just a few screws.
