it has been done before. I saw a picture of a mutant Corvette with a Ford 460 in it on some web site. If distant memory serves me proper it was a white C3. That would be a good way to destroy the value of both the Corvette and the 460, no matter how well the thing actually works out.
I also have a very old article about putting a 427 Ford into a C2 Corvette, back when both were new. The FE Ford is probably more manageable than the 460 swap because it is slightly smaller, but still a great way to kill the value of both the engine and vehicle.
There are kits to put 460's into late 69-70 mustangs. At one time, the same guys that run Cam Research had a kit

That would seem a better game plan, or perhaps put it into a pickup truck.
Ironic thing about 460's (and 429's) is the basic layout was supposed to be a superior big block but it came on the scene as musclecar's were fading out. Most of the cool Ford's had FE's, the earlier and slightly smaller 'big' blocks, so it is difficult to come up with a good combo to use the 460.
Lots of Great info on this forum and on Ls1tech.com
By the looks of that 460 FORD...its a factory motor with all the emissions on it so you will not make the power you think for the work involved in the swap. You will make some torque thats for sure... and your Vette will handle poorly. A 460 FORD has more weight than a typical BBC.
