Hood Clearance
Will an edelbrock performer intake along with a performer carb fit under a 1969 stock small block hood without any modifications? I will also be using the small foam triangular edelbrock aircleaner. Any help is greatly appreciated. The car currently has a pacific performance crosswind (highrise) intake with a qt fuel carb...the original owner wanted to get into racing. Im just trying to get it back to being an everyday driver.

The carb and manifold combo should fit. Don't know about the air cleaner you chose, though. I have a performer manifold with a Holley 650 double pumper on my '72. I'm running a drop base Moroso air cleaner and everything just barely fits. I tried the triagular air cleaner but after reading on here about the problems with engine bay fires I tossed it out.
