How about a bunch of cotton *****, soaked in acetone, sitting in a plunger. Stick the plunger to the windshield over the mount and let it soak.

The packet probably explains what to do, basically glue a new one on top of the old.

I'm pretty sure the mirror still works ok even upside down....
Sorry couldn't help myself.
My mirror fell off like 27 times before I got fed up with it and superglued it to the T-top overhead pillar. Much better place me thinks.
Good luck anyways...

acetone soaked cotton ball will do it. The glue is new and it will take some soak time. The plunger might just do it.

If the mirror will still slide on use it that way until it falls off again.

Do you have a pic? I'm driving without a rearview right now because the mount keeps falling off.

home depot sells a small torch for sweating pipes in thigt places, i would try that, the hair dryer won't heat the glass enough or try contacting the people that make the kite, maybe they have a way to remove it
