Default MSD E-Curve Dist problem?

MSD tech support said to mail it back for a fee. Has anybody else had one croak?

With the ignition on I have 12 volts on both red and orange going to the distrib. But no spark.

Could somebody pop the jack off the dist input and verify their voltages.

Really simple. Green is tack, Black is ground,

I have an E curve. The body isn't on yet but the engine is in the chassis and running so I can check the pin outs for you. In case you don't have the doc http://www.msdignition.com/instructi...?terms=e+curve

I would guess the orange is supposed to pulse like points would to fire the coil. Are you 12 volts all the time or does it fluctuate when cranking?

Do you have an msd box or are you using a blaster coil.

I have a blaster 2. RED goes to + on coil orange goes to - on coil.

MSD box is wired differently.

Looking at the MSD wiring diagram, 12 volts on both wires is correct when there are no dwell pulses occuring. It appears that the module is not toggling/switching the coil C- terminal (assuming that the C- terminal was a steady 12 volts during cranking).
Something electrical/mechanical appears to be wrong downstream of the C- terminal.

Didn't I tell you 2 years ago they were garbage, backfires from my new 15 grand motor at WOT, yes they gave me my money back, no questions asked I am surprised no one has driven there old pickup through their front widow yet because of those POS
