Headlight housings stuck in up position
Had to do the third option to get my headlights up this morning at 0-dark-thirty.
Removed vacuum hoses from back of actuator, liften housings by hand.
I know I'm not supposed to get them to go back down by hand, but...how do I get them back down?
Or is it necessary to take the housings all the way out?

Won't hurt a thing going up and down by hand. You do not have to take off the vacuum lines either. As said above grab the "knee" of the joint and pull it and the housing will start to go down. It might go all the way down by itself or require a little help.
