Default 8'' bolts

i purchase a new 7 leaf spring with 8'' bolts i am having a rough time getting the bolts in from the top to aling with the spring am i donig something wrong,could use some help

as the ta moves in an upward motion, the position of the bolt holes changes. put a jack under the ta and raise it into a "normal ride height" position. that will probably do the trick.

I put 8" bolts and new bushings on my '73 to help lower the car. I had a jack (against a C-clamp to keep it from moving) under the spring and put upward tension on the spring and just dropped the bolts through. The jack was located at the outboard end of the spring.

I find two jacks work the best when working on a garage floor.
