Re: Is anyone using Caliper 2000 Brakes? (love to drive)
I have caliper 2000. They are about 3 years old I have had good luick with them. The company that used to manufacture them was Florida Caliper which is no longer in business. I talked to a guy at Carlise that bought most of his equipment and was remanufacturing calipers but I don't remember his name. I really like the O Ring design because it is less prone to cause cavitation problems due to rotor run out. I think at the time i spent about $50 per caliper. Good Luck

"Steal" may be the correct word choice in this regard since Vettepartsonline is the re-named Florida Calipers. Same owner, location, everything but the name. I have no personal experience with the old or new company, but there have been discussions from recent victims on this and the NCRS forum that the only thing that changed was the name.

I wish I would've gotten your reply before this morning...I already ordered them. From what I researched in the archives, everyone seemed to be satisfied with the Caliper 2000 brakes. I guess I'll have to find out myself.

I'm sorry to hear that people got screwed by the company...now I'm worried that I won't get my core charges back when I send in my cores. Well I'm within driving distance so I can negotiate if provoked.
Re: Is anyone using Caliper 2000 Brakes? (love to drive)
I don't know about other people and bad experiences. I called Carl about 4 months back to order some SS braided brake hoses. In our discussion it came up that I was dissapointed with the o-ring pistons I had ordered from another supplier. He offered to send me the Caliper 2000 pistons with no charge, just an invoice. If I was not pleased with them then I could just send them back. When the pistons arrived I knew right away that his piston design was much better. After discussing exact installation procedures in my caliper bodies I put them in and sent a check. Installation and bleeding went great and my brakes are the best they have ever been.
I have caliper 2000 brakes and while i havent had a chance to drive it yet, the guy who sold them to me was a real nice guy. I had to get my brakes fixed quick, so he opened up shop for me on a weekend to sell me the brakes. The place I bought then was Precision Engineering. Nothing but good things to say so far.

Thanks for the positive replies. I can't wait till they get in so I can get them on and try them out. I haven't felt corvette stopping power in quite a while...I should've overnighted them!!
