I replaced my return hose( which was leaking a little) and now my leak is horrible. 10 miles of driving and the pump is emptys.
When i threaded the hose into the ram, was I supposed to use teflon tape or anything? I'm hoping that it's leaking out there, otherwise i've got a huge leak and going to have to spend a lot of $$
You got to find out where its coming from. Jack up the car, wipe off the components and have some one turn the steering wheel while you look for the source of the leak. I just had to replace the pressure hose in my '79 this past weekend. The rubber hose burst just where it goes into the swagged clamp end of the tubing. It was deteriorated. Hopefully you didn't cross thread the the fittings in the pump or piston.

My bet would be on the Control Valve. This hoses to the Control valve do not require any tape for sure. I would say you just moved the leak from one place to another. I just replaced my Control valve (with help from fellow Forum member!) which was leaking pretty bad and now the Ram is leaking...
Clean it up real good and watch where the leak is coming from while it is sitting... you should be able to pin-point it.
