Not true, i rebuilt my pump a few years ago. There are also places you can send yours for rebuild. A guy by the name of Hodel (sp?) has the rep of being the expert at refurbishing A.I.R systems. An archive search should turn up some info.
I took pics of mine, but not sure where I stored them.
Your right Bullshark , I read it too but I write tech articles for our club and mine is in need of repair so I thought of doing an article on this , but I can 't seem to find any info!! I know of a few place that rebuild them , but I do most stuff myself, Thanks for the info , if you do come across any info send it my way , Many thanks Ron
I stand corrected. I've been out of the repair business for ten years. I guess over time ; parts that were throw-aways are now being rebuilt out of necessity. I have a '25 Chevy and you would be surprised at what parts get rebuilt by people who have taken the time to make new castings etc. They are very expensive too. Good luck with your rebuild.
Steve
Surprised youe 80 L48 has a pump. My 80 L82 had one and from what I read only the L82 had the pump or could the car be an export version like in Canada?
Yes I am in Canada, when I got the paper work from GM , they said I had a rare one , it was fully equipped ,
he also said the 80 got all the left over parts on the shelf, when I bought the car it was all original , with 29K , it still pretty original, but it's funny the Haynes manual skips the 80 model and goes to 81, Ron

Canadian Corvettes have the same smog equipment as US 49 state cars do. No special additions or deletions.
