Default '86 TPI Emissions Question

So, I'm finishing up the conversion of an '86 TPI into my '77....I've removed all the emissions off the '86 engine & that presents me some problems for which I ned help...oh, I've also done away with the MAF & my wiring/computer chaged to understand that:

1. Where do I hook the PVC valve on the valve covers (looks like I have 2)?

2. There's some type hose that runs from the intake manifold to the passenger side exhaust manifold....I'm using Hooker Headers...do I just blank it off at the intake manifold?

And there will be other questions as I move into vacuum, etc.

Purely from memory, and its been awhile since a crawled around a tPI system so take this all with a grain of salt

The PCV valve likely goes into the drivers side cover, the passenger side cover likely had a hose that ran to the intake ducting at some point after the air filter and before the Throttle body.

The hose to the passenger exhaust was probably the EGR valve...there was some year where the EGR was located underneath the plenum but was then moved out to the exhaust manifold and then plumbed to the intake. Block that off.

Block off the EGR, I filled the manifold with plaster of paris to acheive that, works fine...just let it harden overnight...

the equivalent hose fitting from the pass side VC goes into a near 1/2" dia fitting on the tbody...that's before the throttle blades....

your PCV can be plumbed to the stock location....block off the 9th injector if you have one, run the thing in speed density mode, as I do even today...computer #1227730 and use aftermarket CalPak for like 150 bux or less.....

PM me for other problems, I been doing this for some 15 years, and the latest is a LT1 induction on my L98/ZZ4 hot cammed engine....

I have 1227730 & have had my wiring harness redone to remove all emissions....so, I can do away with that thing in the 9th injector hole & its electrical part at the rear of the rail & run the PCV into it? How do I connect a hose to that hole?

& on the passenger valve cover, I just fill in the hole & make the fins continuous?

I'll wait for an answer & then start a PM.

OK, the 9th injector can be removed but the hole has to be plugged on both ends.....my setup had a push in plug like from a hardware store, or McMaster-Carr would have....steel or brass just tap it into the hole in the runner, I would cap the fuel feed back at the rail....either that or get the rail TIG welded shut on the end....

the PVC hose I had went to the fitting lower than the 1/2" diameter one, it's 3/8"....OR to a fitting on the plenum....there is a brake booster fitting/pipe in rear driver's side, near the dizzy, kinda under the plenum....

like on a carb equipped vehicle, there is a PCV valve in one cover, goes to high mani vac.....while on the other cover is a feed to a LO vac source before the throttle blades...that 1/2" on the tbody....that goes directly to the other valve cover hole/fitting....don't block the valve cover off....

I dunno if your unit has a rear water passage hole in the mani crossover or not....it's 1/8 NPT hole which is 3/8 diameter....what it's for is water into the suction line of your water pump it evens out the cooling a bit....make sure it goes to the pump line, not being cut off by any heater control valve....it's into the heater hose...
