Default Hooker Super Comps or Hedman's

I have had a set of Hedman 1 7/8" underfloor Hedders on my '68 manual non pb, non a/c, big block for some 7 or 8 years now - and they are fine. I get good good ground clearance at stock ride height although the collectors are quite close to the floorpan, so it can get warm in summer. Last year I 'pulled' the L36 engine and installed a 528 hp 489 engine. I have been wondering wether to upgrade to a set of 2 1/8" ceramic coated Hooker underfloor Super Comps. My question guys is - will the Hookers be spaced further away from floor pan? - and (if so) will they hang lower than the Hedman units and reduce ground clearance?

You will probably lose ground clearnace with the Hookers but when you hit the gas the additional HORSEPOWER will lift the front end at least 2inches higher I would go with the Hookers myself based on the large displacement of your motor, the Headmans are "corks" for a motor that large.
