Default Where is rear toe measured?

Is it at the outside diameter of the tire at the horizontal centerline? Or somewhere else? I understand geometry just where is it measured?

Thanks,

TT

It does not matter at wht height you measure toe just so that you measure at the same height front and rear of the tires.

According to the AIM for my '76, you measure at the outer diameter of the tyres:

X - Y should = 3/32" per side

Ben is correct. If a setting is mentioned in inches, then the spot where the measurement is taken is important. If it is mentioned in degrees (angle) then it doesn't matter where it's measured from. Interesting that the factory specs have one of each.

If you give me the overall (wheel+tyre) diameter of the wheel I can tell you what 3/32's are in degrees/minutes.
