Do any of you know what process to follow to adjust the shifter linkage on a super t-10??
Reason why I am asking is I took my car to the frame shop a while back. "IT was the only frame shop willing to touch my car, I don't know why." Anyways when it was done, I go to shift it and the shifter had been moved back about 2 inches or so, so when I shift to second it hits the councel. I bitched at them, but they claimed that they did their job, they straitened the frame and "for some reason or another the crossmember, they said that who ever had the car before must have adjusted the linkage to work with that bent cross member. So I left it at that. Anyways I no longer have any sort of good manual "threw them useless things out and now regreting it". So can someone help steer me in the right direction.
If they moved your shifter back that far, they did some major damage to your frame. I'd take out your shifter and check it for loose bolts..
The same thing happened to my stock shifter the main shifter pivot bolt was missing(fallen out)... it still shifted but was really sloppy and the throws were really long.
Hey pete, Thanks! that looks like it will help me out alot. (now just to find an excuse to leave work early) :)
There is a big storm moving into the midwest. 6-12" of snow. I know you are in Washington but you better not take any chances. You better leave RIGHT NOW and be safe! :D
