Default 1976 Exhaust Question

I have returned my L-48 Corvette to stock by putting on a new exhaust. I got the system through Corvette America, which actually ships from Corvette CEntral, as a complete package.

Here is where I have some problems. I put it all together and the front y-pipe touches the oil pan. When I look at some catalogues they show that a sleeve should be on one side. One company even shows that a sleeve should be on both sides. Sleeves didn't come with the kit and are not listed with several companies. Should I buy and install sleeves for both sides?

If you're not using the heat riser valve on the passenger side you'll definitely need a sleeve to make up for the missing thickness of the riser housing.
Driver side should just have the donut, possibly with a locating sleeve in it, but not an extension.
Could the Y pipe be cocked because of the missing riser housing?
