Re: Nice looking 69 on eBay (Alwyn678)
Even says he has an engine on a stand to go with it. I like it, I like it. Someone buy it and store it at my house and I will make sure it gets used every now and then. :yesnod:
Travis, Are you selling your car??? I just went and checked out your website and it kinda read like you were selling it??? BTW What part of town ya in??
I was wondering that myself. I have the same engine in mine and I know it needs a rebuild as its all stock and the paint looks like all stock. Oh, I mean the 3 chips of paint that are left. I wish my engine looked that good. :D
Tony....sort of not really. Sound like a politician, huh? I was trying to sell it but am slowly changing my mind. If someone came along with the right offer I'd sell it. I bought the car just over 2 years ago and the seller had advertised and told me it was an original engine, numbers matching car. At the time, I didn't know enough to verify and I was trusting enough to believe him. Well, I've done some research on the casting number and found out it's not the original engine :mad :mad :mad
So when I first started trying to sell it, the price was based on the condition of the car and the fact that it was an original engine car. Now that I know it isn't original, I'm not sure it will be as easy to obtain the price I was looking for. Geesh, I'm starting to confuse myself! Besides, it's so hard to get rid of such a beautiful car that any little excuse makes me decide to keep it.
I'm on the west side of Houston Tony. Where are you? I'm not aware of any "vette" or classic car hangouts here in Houston. If you know of any, or would just like to get together and talk about cars, drop me an email.
