would like to know the specs on a engine with casting number 3970014. LOoked in archives and found zip thanks Jim

Black book says 1972 350ci...either 200hp or 255hp...late production

That casting number was used in 1970 - 76 cars and trucks. It is a 350 block and came in either 2 or 4 bolt configuration.

For mor information post the stamping numbers on the pad just in front of the left cylinder head.
