Getting ready buy and to put sidepipes on a 77. Where did you get yours? Did it have all the parts to install included? What was your best price? Did you have any problems putting them on? :flag
Well I got the Hooker headers from Summit $390 you might find a better price else where but I like Summit. The tubes and baffles I got from JCL at http://www.spiralturbobaffles.com. Actually they are to arrive this week. For fitting headers you have to remove a few things alternator, starter and if your water temp sender is on the driverside, it'll have to come out until the header is bolted in. I'd rate it a weekend project, no special tools need. The worst is getting the old system out and getting enough clearance in the rocker panel area for the headers. Good Luck

I also have a 1977 corvette- I called Gary Gruhala and got a set for $750. + $38. shipping. They are the 1969 style and come from Eckler's. :D I had follow up calls from Gary to insure all was ok and I was satisified.
I put the 69 style on mine. I had the pipe but bought the covers and mounting hardware from ecklers. Hardest part is getting the old stuff off. Putting the new stuff on was real easy. Less than an hours time.
Corvette Central is a bit cheaper than Ecklers on the whole kit for the sidepipes, around $100-150 cheaper. Other than that, keep your eyes on ebay, I got an old "sitting in the attic" set of the sidepipes + fiberglass covers for $385... And definitely DEFINITELY DEFINITELY DONT DRIVE IT BEFORE THE COVERS GO ON!!!!
I recently put Dynomax side pipes on my 73. I think they look better than the factory ones. Plus they cost a little over $200 from JEGS. You can't get Hooker side pipes or OEM style pipes for ever three times that much. They were not that hard to put on. A little work but nothing fancy.
