I got them redone at Bairs. and have a prothane poly kit . But on the back connection of the arms that uses a 3 1/2 bolt there are bushings Prothane calls them end link set. It bolts to the 7 leaf spring The kit ones don't seem to be large enough in diameter. I didn't pay attention to them before I sent them off to Bairs. They didn't come back with any thing on the T/As. Any one done this before??? Thanks Jim
You may find that the end link set of bushings belong to the sway bar and not the spring mounts that you are thinking of. The spring bushes are 2" in diameter and the sway bar ones are 1". Hope this helps.
My TA's are on the way back from Bairs. I think I know the bushing you are talking about though. If I recall there is a bushing in the trailing arm where the spring bolts slide through. Didn't they put all new bushings in the arm?
I don't know if this will help, but here are some of my 'BEFORE' pictures from my rear suspension overhaul. (ie, I know they're nasty rusty looking - but it's all out of the car being restored as we speak). :jester
Thanks Juliet. That picture is helpful. I was thinking there was an additional bushing in the rear of the trailing arm where the spring bolt goes through but the only bushings I see are the large bushing on the bolt itself. My arms are out also. Just put the diff. back in today and got word last week that my arms and halfshafts are on the way. JVM- does this picture help?
Bruno Thanks for the pic, yes it does help. Think I can put the piece back together again. sort like humpy dumpty. Hope I don't end up with some left over. Jim
