I could not get the tank out on my 78, I needed to take the brake MC off.
So I used a long extention (& u-joint?) with a deep socket to remove the screen/ retainer nut in the WW fuid tank, the pump dropped out from below.
Installing the new one and getting the screen/retaing nut on was a long hard job alone.
You may be able to mach it up at any Auto Store or the Corvette supply guys have them with pictures??
