I have a 74 coupe 350. I am getting fuel to the carb with good pressure but nothing going into the carb. I can put a little fuel in the carb and get it to fire off but will not keep running. When I manually throttle the carb under the hood I see very little or no fuel. Occasionally their is little stream but not often. I had the carb rebuilt by a so-called professional but you never really know. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I was only able to get her home by keeping one foot on the brake and keeping the throttle really high.
ck the filter in the carb you have to take fuel line off of carb to ck put a new on in for piece of mind could possibly needle is stuck pairtially closed and hung up

remove the fuel line and blow into the carb fitting using about 15 PSI from your air compressor, first make sure the filter was not installed backwards

I "think" the way that filter is made, being in backwards is exactly what that would cause??? Also, I know a old carb guy that will rev up a engine pretty good and while its up, choke it out to near dying with the choke blade/plate to "suck the junk" out if it? Dont know if that one has any merit or not. I chased worn out rebuilt q-jet issues all summer and just put on a brand new holley. I love a good q-jet but theres only so much you can do with a kit when its all worn out.
