That's not a good number for Chevy.
There are plenty of Chevy numbers close to that 1112866 in the '74 & '75 cars & trucks both BB and sb. You need to look at the number again as there are no Chevy matches. If that is a correct number then not a Chevy.
What did the distributor come out of?
It came with some other stuff I bought off a '74 or '75. They guy said it was HEI. The starter that was with it was a later '74 (production car '75 starter).
Yes, everything came off my 76 Corvette motor. The distributor is an HEI. The cap did not come with it because I used it. Don't know what you are trying to infer, but I assure you I only had the 75 and the 76 I sold. I replaced both motors with new motors and everything I have is off both of those motors. So...let's not get too get too out of hand here. I am not that kind of guy.
If you have a problem why not pm me instead of, what seems to me, trashing me. If I am misreading this I apologize, but this is how it looks to me.
Marz, not trying to infer anything. Sorry if you were offended. I'm just trying to identify the distributor as I couldn't do it easily.
I was able to identify the exact casting and dates on the starter as the stock starter used in the early 70's on 350 SB Automatics dated for late '74 production. Which matches your application exactly.
Just couldn't find the same information on that distributor casting number.
