Hi all, don't get to this side often. I don't drive mine much and the last time was over Thanks giving.
Been very cold here in NM the last month. Few minutes ago I went to take it for a short spin.
Got in started it up, checked brakes, went to the floor and an idiot light came on. pumped several times and still nothing. Fluid is full and see no leaks.
Could the cold have hardened some seals or something?
Thx

Golden is correct or caliper seal is cocked. It will not really leak fluid out but seems to let air in. I always use O-ring conversion kits in any Vette I've had no more problems. The master is a possibility too.
From what you've described the most likely thing is that a master cylinder seal has split or rolled
If you're not losing fluid the seals in the master cylinder are not pushing fluid. You can either rebuild or replace, neither is very difficult, and we have kits and master cylinders in stock if you need.
