Well, thanks to a good compression gauge, the barometric pressure, and the nefty "estimator" at http://www.smokemup.com, I have a pretty good idea that my engine is pretty much the stock bottom end. The compression ratio came to just under 11:1 (10.864:1), so it's 11:1 with bowl work, or the "11:1" was a rounding thing...we'll see.
This gets curiouser and curiouser...as the car seems to put out a lot to the rear wheels (estimated 340+ per Lars's VeriCom), and seems more and more stock as I dig.
This is why I am giving in to the temptation to tear down the top end this weekend. That, and the car is not driveable until the repairs get done to the front end. :smash:
