Default Looking for advice on new headers

I finally got my new 383 stroker, and have a problem. My old short headers will not work because of angled plugs on new engine. I am thinking of going with Hooker Super Comp pn 2134. I have concerns about install clearance as well as ground clearance. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

I had Hooker Super Comps (2134) on my former 383, (now with a 427 small block) and they fit my angle plug AFR heads with no issues. Clears power steering OK. Which heads do you have? I have used both AFR and Trick Flows with angle plugs and the fit is OK with the Hookers. If you have Edelbrock heads, they may not fit because some of them use a different angle than the standard L-98 angle used by the other manufacturers. In fact, Hooker states in their info that they will not fit with Edelbrocks.

See pic.....they are about even with my oil pan for ground clearance. My pan is 1/2" lower than stock.

I bought the Super Comps. Ground clearance looks just like the picture above. Two issues on install, both on passenger side. Had to put a small dent in the header to allow for control arm. Second issue is number 6 plug clearance. I am going to get a set of Accel shorty plugs, hope this gets me home without the use of the hammer again. Drivers side slid in, no problems.

Something is not right if you had to dimple for the control arm. I have the Super Comps on mine and it is not even close on the control arm. I am running AFR 210 heads with angle plugs and spark plug clearance is not an issue.

My brother has super comps on his AFR 210 angle plug heads and he had to dent the tube to clear #6 plug. I have 195 's with straight plugs and no clearance issues.
