Default Which spark plug should I use?

Folks,
1969 corvette with a GM crate HT 502 motor.
MSD ignition and distributor with 8mm wires.
Cast iron heads.

What type/heat range spark plugs are recommended?

I am getting confusing messages from the internet

GM Performance parts tech specs says - AC Delco R43T
Everywhere else on the internet - AC Delco CR43TS

Are there much difference between these two plugs?

They're both the same plug, however a CR43TS has an extended tip (it protrudes farther into the cylinder)

There's differing opinion on both so it comes down to preference. Personally I'd stick with the R43T.

Here's a chart for reference showing you how to decode the plugs:

What do the specifications for that particular motor call for ? If it is a crate motor that is still for sale you should be able to find these specs.

If not what plugs were in the motor when you got it ? Extended tip on a motor with pistons not designed for extended tip could be disastrous, however if the specifications for that motor call for an extended tip plug that is the plug I would use

GM Performance parts website says R43T, but there are other sites on the internet that recommends the extended type.

I don't remember what was on the car. I paid someone to do a tune up right after I bought the car

I guess I will stick with the R43T.
