I think I could distinctly hear his wife in the background (TYPING IN ALL CAPS) something about him needing to take what he could and get the durn thing out of the garage. LOL
Well, that was easy! Drove it onto the trailer, a short tow home, off the trailer, 15 minutes of unpacking of the Yukon XL full of parts later, and the 81 is safely sleeping in the garage. I like it!
PO said he changed all of the plugs he could reach. I looked at a few of them - carbon city. In any event, it runs enough to have gotten it home for now. Definately needs carb work.... no biggie. Pics will follow this weekend.
Be sure that you set the timing first. As LArs has said many carbs are blamed for timing issues. After that begin with the carb. Ask lars for his papers on each, you will be glad you did.
