question about fixing the headlight vacuum tree
i repaired one tree already with O rings and all, but apparently didnt do it correctly. the green port i can get upto about 10hg, but it wont hold vacuum. the red port will barely spike to 5hg and it drops off instantly.
ive got a 2nd tree here that im going to try again on, but ive got a question.
is the foam supposed to do anything other then keep crap out of the tree? im wondering if i have too thick of foam in it, and the foam is supposed to be able to compress and help seal off the system.

The foam is only a filter. As long as it is open cell foam and you can get air thru it you should be fine.
