separtating bearing support from TA
I have the spindle out.and after taking off the 4 bolts I have the backing plate off.How do I get the spindle off the trailing arm?Is it a press fit?Do I need to use my shop press?Will some WD40 and a little pressure do it.I don't want to damage something If I don't have to.

I used a 2 jaw puller to yank it off. One side slid off with hardly any resistance. The other side I had to torque so hard that the jaws tweaked up the TA a bit ... had to 
them back into shape. In retrospect, I should have hit the TA with a propane torch first.

Yes you should have to press the spindle out. Put the spindle nut on when you press it so you don't mushroom the threads. You can also use a long socket to go over the threads and it will bottom out on the splines. If the spindle fall out relatively easy, you should mic out the bearing surfaces. Outer is 1.377 and inner is 1.189. If the outer is less by .002 or more, it should be replaced.
