Default Question on lower ball joints

I am replacing the ball joints both upper and lower. The upper no problem. On the lowers there a 2 different types of bolts. One is a regular the other has a hex closest to the treads and then a round head. Since I took out rivets I have no reference for which is which. Does the bolt with the head go to the front or back?

Thanks for any help, I'm always learning

It is called the bump stop bolt head. Mine are gone as a weight saving effort. But you can see the tab arm on the back of A-arm and it should line up with the rubber frame bump stop

I usually leave them out and reuse other takeoffs.

I put them on the front of this car because of the 245-15 tires and they reduce the turning circle slightly.

Second pic is of the steering stop engaged with the arm.

They are packaged because they are needed on Chevelles etc. that use the same joint.
