This is the seam between the firewall and floorboard on a 68. It looks like the firewall took a shot from the outside and whatever was in this seam fell out. What should I use to fix it?
I would clean that out really well and use seam sealer on it or if your really worried about re-bond and seal the crack with 3M or Lord Fusor panel adhesive/bonding adhesive.
I put a layer of glass on the floorboard and ran it up, and wraped it around, back toward the door, then cut a piece to run down the valley, as thats where mine came apart as well.........holding so far.
If you don't fiberglass it, you coud use some panel adhesive. Put the adhesive in the crack, then put a jack under then floor and lightly push up on the floor. Will cure in about half hour.
