engine guru's. review my timing curve.
car runs good and idles at 700 rpm no problem. here r my readings from the new hotrodusa hei mechanical tach hei. 489 stroker, comp 274 solid roller, 10 to 1 compression, ported factory heads, performer rpm intake, 800 cfm q-jet. headers, 3" full exhaust.
vacum disconnected.
750 rpms timing 17 with full vac. 17 vacuum 9 to 10 hg
1500 rpms timing 24 with full vac. 27 vac 15hg
2000 rpms timing 32 not taken vac 20 hg
2600 rpms timing 34 with full vac. 45 vac 20hg
what do yaw think of the hei timing curve. did not even try to adj the adj. vacum canister. going to find a replacement. any ideas on which one. thanks

i had the readings seperated but when i posted it it pushed them back together. each colum has an explanation above it. no vacuum, with vacuum, measured vacuum. in that order. rpm's are to the right of each line.
