Default head gasket

Need advise on a head gaskets for a 72 350. Engine was rebuilt about 700 miles ago and I'm changing the cam to a lunati 60103 and I plan to pull the heads while apart to check them. What is the thinest head gasket I can safely use (want to help compresion). The heads were cut slightly at rebuild but not the deck (to protect the number stamp).
Thanks

fel pro p/n 1094

there's one per package ... so order twice

it's a coated steel shim about 0.015" thick with about 4.1" bore @ about 3.2cc volume.

I agree too. Works great on my 76 350.

Fel Pro recomends you machine a grove in the heads to accept the rings in these head gaskets. If you want to do that, that's great for severe use. But, in this situation wouldn't Mr. Gasket 1130 work just as well?

Opps!!! I read too quickly. The heads has to be machined for the Lock Wire version of this gasket.
