which length did you get? i have the 14" long ovals on my 327 camaro and they are deep sounding at idle but stupid loud at wot. just put the 18" long ovals on my 71 489 stroker corvette. 3" exhaust with headers. sounds good at idle and keeps a nice deep tone at wot. like them much better than the 14".

Are they too loud for your taste or do they just sound like they lack a tight tone? On a stock engine they may sound sloppy, with no rap?? The 383's extra velocity should wake them up plenty.

I also have a stock L-48 and am thinking about changing to those mufflers. Just what did you not like about them was idle, cruising or wot?

Did you leave the cat on the car?

I love them I have had them on all my motors. Even when I had them on my 300RWHP (296) 355ci at idle they aren't too loud but at wide open throttle they would wake up the dead.

If you have them on a stock L48, especially with the stock pipes and catalytic converter on there.. well any muffler's gonna suck

355ci with MagnFlows

Here they are on my 427ci please note I was just practicing for the dragstrip at the time and trying to find a way not to spin the tires when taking off, I was only worried about the first 60 feet

427ci with MagaFlows Might as well watch it to the end you can hear it idle, had to come back and get my camera

I agree with others that the 383 should improve the sound. My ZZ4 with long tube headers, no cats, and 3" true duals back to a pair of Magnaflows lets my neighbor know that I'm coming home before I even get around the corner and down the block.
