In the latest version of the Eckler's catalogue there is a product called a Car Capsule. Anyone seen one of these? It may be a solution to my outdoor storage need. Much cheaper than Cover-It. http://www.ecklers.com/product.asp?p...dept%5Fid=1364
They have a display of one of these at the Corvette museum. Looked kind of cool, but not very durable, not for outdoor use. One crappy little squirrel or mouse or kid, and you're screwed.
Its just a big bag - basically the same type of stuff freezerbags are made of, just a little thicker.
Its OK for the inside, definitely not for the outside.
In Germany we have another company that sells this stuff, just with a fiberglass inner structure to prevent from collapsing when opened.
Better solution, more expensive, approx. 800 $
I like the idea. I have a heated double garage but I refuse to park the Explorer beside the Corvette inside in the winter because I do not want the salt running off on the floor. This may just be the solution.
well , I don't know about that one, But I've seen a car capsule that's vented on both sides, to keep air flowing inside , they have like 30" (I think) box fans , one shooting in , other out.
plenty of ventilation :) as for the tight thing, you're probably right, hard to tell without seeing it in person :)
OK, I still need a 8' x 8' x 20' cover-it. Can someone assist? I am limited in width by a shared driveway. The neighbour is creating a resting place for rusted out GM vehicles. A six-foot fence is next.
