72 vert deck lid bracket
has anyone removed the deck lid spring-hinge assembly from it's upper attachment? i can just feel the two screws, but there's no way that i can see to remove them. this looks like a worse job than changing a brake booster.

In a frame off situation, you can cut a hole in the glass from the back side to get a socket in on an extension. Just be sure to reinstall and align before you put the body back on so you can glass the holes. I removed mine many years ago using a short handled ratchet and a socket. It was very slow work, and I would not do it again.
