Well I finally got a chance to try out the new L-36 intake. The exhaust definitly picked up a deeper tone over the LS-4 intake, power wise it's hard to tell, it's picked up quite the bog between gear shifts at WOT coming from a start. Runs fine through first, push the clutch in and put into 2nd then let out the clutch and punch it and it lays down for about a 1/2 second and then goes great, same for third and fourth. The sad thing is that it didn't have this problem with the LS-4 intake, actually I finally got this tuned out of the LS-4 intake with the secondary air valve spring so this setting was the same going on the LS-6 intake and now it picked up this bog. I tried tightening the secondary air valve spring but this dind't help any and only lost power. So I started over and went from the point that the spring will just barely close the secondary air valve and then went a 1/2 turn tighter from there, power is better but the bog is still there. Anybody have any ideas that could possibly help me out
Intake bolted right up, I'm using the stock air cleaner and assembly on it, no clearance issues that I can tell. You'll have to modify a 68 choke a little bit to get it to work with the 73 linkage and bolt up to the intake manifold. I used the 849 intake.
