custom speedo and tach mounting
My 1979 corvette had a dash fire at one time so I would like to mount an aftermarket speedometer and tachometer in a custom mounting and place in the dash and I was wondering if anybody else out there has done this?

I''m not sure if this is the type of thing you are referring to but I gutted the inside of Speedo/Tach and center cluster gauge panels and designed my own that I had a friend CNC for me (Then I powdercoated them).

I did the same thing with plexiglas. If you spray the back of it with black spray paint it looks like black plastic. I masked off a section in the center so the indicator lights can shine through.
