Default High Performance E-Brake

Looking for High Performance E-Brake Tips.
My 1970 E-Brake dose not hold well especially on a hill. I have all the slack out of the cable and all parts look good.

Your probably going to have to get in there and look at / replace the ebrake shoes, then it should hold for another 18 months or so.

Mine were taken away by the garbage man about 10 years ago

Step one - admit you are powerless over corvette e brake suckage.

63-82 e-brakes can't suck enough!

In conclusion, most Corvette experts agree 63-82 e brakes suckity suck suck suck.

only hope I'm aware of is the so called soft brake shoes?

and perfect adjustment and brake in.

I'm starting to wonder if the front and rear shoes should be swapped then it would hold better in the forward direction?????

Mine work fine, they will hold the Vette even on the hills of Laguna Seca in Monterey.

If the parts are an unkown, I don't know what to tell you, if they are in decent shape you should adjust the brake adjuster all the way until it stops rotating then back it off 5-7 clicks and they should work great.
