Default Headers for GMPP Fast Burn Heads

I really did exhaust(no pun intended) the advanced search option, looking for info on this subject, but no luck. Have installed the GMPP ZZ383 and ready to pull the trigger on headers and exhaust system. I was all set to order a set of Doug's Headers, part D-334. Just to be safe after reading the catalog info on fitment, I called Doug's, and got the tech, Paul. The description in catalog seemed to be a good match with the heads. Stated fits D-ports, angled plugs, etc., so I figured its a go.
Tech Paul tells me that the GMPP "Fast Burn" aluminum heads may not seal with the headers properly, due to a "change" of some type on the placement of the mounting holes and ports? He really did not sound 100% sure, almost like he was covering himself, just in case. I don't want to go through the hassle of ordering them, only to find that they do not fit/seal properly. I can probably order a set of header gaskets to fit these heads to make sure of seal before I order the headers, but thought I would check with you guys first. If you have any experience with these heads and header fitment could you chime in. Any legit info on this subject is definitely appreciated

i have had a fair bit to do with fastburn heads ,i have them on 2 motors but i dont have any dougs headers. i had no problems installing hookers on them with standard dport gaskets . only thing i can think of is the less than 1/2 inch raise in the ports from other heads but i think its so insignificant it shouldnt make much difference. its a nice big machined surface for the gasket so as long as you use the metallic style i cant forsee any dramas

Hedman makes a set. That is what I am using. Not installed yet.
Cost almost $400 with ceramic coated.

Has anyone actually installed a set, other than Hooker Comps that Gingerbread spoke of? Would like another option I know will work, been told the Hookers sit really low, and I have clearence issues to deal with getting off my dirt road. Any info appreciated!

Try this place. It's called Street & Performance. Talk to Mark. I have a set of his D port headers. They are very nice. http://www.hotrodlane.cc
