Default Identify this module

Hello,

I was helping dad sort out the wiring in his jigsaw puzzle - the '78 he bought that was all disassembled.

There is a module mounted to the back console bracket.

It has orange, yellow and black ground wires going to one plug. The black is grounded to the console bracket, the orange connects to the wiring up by the top of the firewall and the yellow is cut and doesn't seem to have a home.

There is another plug with I think it was blue, green and white? wires running is a flat strip - the wires are all connected together like a trailer harness. These wires seemed to have gone to the back of the car somewhere but they are also just cut and were hanging in the wires going up the B pillar to the roof.

So, what is this thing? I've got everything else sorted out but this is a mystery. I didn't take the camera or I could have got a picture of it.

Peter

Power antenna relay. Yellow is constant hot, orange is trigger; white, green, and gray go to the factory antenna.

Thanks, the antenna is gone so we'll just pull the relay out too.

Did '78's come with the power antenna as standard equipment?

It was an option. RPO U75 $49.00

Looks like only about 1/2 of the 46000 that year chose the power antenna.
