Brake Lines
I've been wondering, do you have to apply any Teflon tape or something on the brake lines so they won't leak?

No, the flare on the end of the tube does the sealing, not the threads on the nut.

No. On flair connections the seal comes from the flair face not the threads.

No tape, it's a dry seal. Having said that; a drop of brake fluid on the ends and threads when connecting is common practice.

No sealant anywhere on the brake system. Either copper washers at the calipers or flare fittings on the lines will seal without the need for any additional sealant

Speaking of brake lines I just changed ALL of mine this weekend. The front to rear was a real PIA. And by the way I did not use any sealer or tape of any kind.

Using Teflon tape is NOT recommended. Using it can allow the fittings to back out over time, which is a bad thing.
