New chrome fuel pump question ?
Hi Guys. Just recieved my new Mr Gasket chrome fuel pump but have a small problem.The old one has two fuel lines going to it from the tank and then one up to the carb. The new one only has two. I would assume that is for one from the tank and one to the carb. If that is the case what do you do with one of the metal lines from the tank and which one do you use ? :confused: VettePaul.

Sounds like you have the wrong pump. The pump is for a different application. or you could just cap the one line and just use the two, one to feed the pump and the other that feeds the carb. The larger diameter line feeds the pump. But I recomend that you use the correct pump for the application. good luck PS Why did you buy Mr Gasket pump? They kinda suck. :smash: :smash: :eek:

Thanks for the reply. I take it the other line is a fuel return. Do you not need that ? As for the Mr Gasket being :U We don't have the amount of parts shops that you guys have across the big pond. The shop I purchased the pump from do all aftermarket performance goodies. I thought I was doing the right thing. :confused: One thing I have noticed today though is that the new alluminium water pump I have also bought is hitting on my new two piece chrome timing cover before it mates with the block. :mad More problems !
