Default C3 Hood Pins

I've searched for a bit about the different hood pins that are available on the market these days. Sure would appreciate comments about Hood Pins that have been used and installed, good ones to look at, and those to shy away from. Seems most have about 2.5" of thread.

Thanks so much..

I am also interested in what is available. I want some locking hood pins so I can get rid of the POS system that it came with. A forum member had so non locking pins that turned out very nice!

Go to the locak West Marine/boating supply store, and buy two ~6" long 1/2 diameter Stainless bolts two normal nutz and two kep nutz..the nylon lockers and two stainless 1/2" fender washers...almost 2" diameter...cut the heads off the bolts, chuck them in a drill press, and hit with a grinder while spinning....putting a bullet shape on the cut end...

AFTER measuring the length you will need, obviously....

then to spot and drill a hole about 3/16" through them at appropriate depth...about a inch from the shaped end....

use a ****** pin/ring lanyard from same store above....

that is what I have done with 2-3 cars now....including my reverse hinged shark, shown on my sites...
