Default Howdy! All tips and thoughts needed.

so ive been considering a lot over the past week...

ANYONE CHOP THE TOP OFF THEIR C3 COUPE?
my dad has been wanting to make it a convertible, but thats a expensive road " i think".
i thought it might be a "good idea" to chop the whole to and make it into a 2-3 piece hardtop. securing the top with latches.
any ideas

350 in my vette.
i want to twin turbo my 350 at the reasonable route, ive been told to avoid cheap turbos on ebay. ANY ONE TRY THEM?
OR HAS ANYONE DONE THIS?

I found some pretty interesting projector headlights for c3s that i want to try out, they arent like the zl1 but they are "different"
http://www.guldstrand.com/scripts/pr...p?idproduct=44
seem to mess with the flow of the body though
http://www.greenwoodcorvettes.net/gc3/GTOheadlights.htm
even worst.

I would like to convert from electric windows to crank, i found a previous thread but with no links to products to buy to further enable the process.

Zl1 / l88 flare kit best supplier?

mid america motor works (cheaper)
http://www.mamotorworks.com/corvette?frame=1.3484
ACI (pretty pricey)
http://www.acivette.com/aci0025m.htm
feedback on either?

ANYONE USE SIDE LOUVERS ON THEIR C3? pictures?

rear bumper ANYONE TRY ACI?
FCF020 - '74-'82 Custom ZR Rear Bumper( is this a fiberglass one)
http://www.acivette.com/aci0067m.htm
if/when i buy a fiberglass front and rear fiberglass bumpers can i fiberglass them on to give it the seamless look like earlier vettes?

Performance parts feedback on any?

You may want to break your post down into individual questions. The shotgun approach may scare some people off.

Do a search on chrome bumper conversion, short version-NO!

WOW, thats a post! I would say not to chop a good vette up but there are plenty of basket cases out there. Turbo, not a bad idea. I picked up one from an Audi. VERY good quality with water and oil cooling for $100. That and a blow through carb set up and your in.

You can do anything given enough time, effort, and money. The rear of the frame is very different on a 76 vs a 68-73 so no, not easily.

Ebay is a hot bed for that stuff. Just make sure you buy from someone who has a high rating.
Craig's list and local salvage yards is good because you can see it.
I never handled a gt35r. I only played with the Garret T-3 turbos. They are very common and the newer ones all have the ceramic bearings.
Installing anything on a 75 vette 160hp engine would be an improvement IMHO
