Default 383 build

hey guys I know this isnt the first 383 post but I want to get some of your opinions. I am building my 350 block into a 383 for street cruising and some racing. I am looking into getting this rotating assembly. Internal balance and forged flat top pistons are why I picked this kit. I am looking for compression around 10.5:1 and 380-420hp

any suggestions on a better route or parts? As for heads and cam I am going to go for some aluminum 64cc and a flat tappet cam

look at the 350 mains with 3.875 stroke. get it internally balanced and with 70- 76 cc heads you would have lower 10-1 CR

Your cheaper summit kit has cheaper parts. Engine Rotating Assembly, Series 9000, Cast Crank, Forged Pistons, I-Beam Rods 3/8th bolt,

Look at what cncmotorsports.com has to offer.
I went with the eagle 4340 crank,H-beam rods,SRP flat top pistons
with 70cc heads app.10.3-1 cr
No prob.with 93 octane
Im going to loose my license with this ride.

This is a solid fully forged bottom end. It will be just under 10.5 to 1 with AFR 195 75CC heads and a hydraulic roller cam should put out close to 550 HP. I really like the compstar rods. Mine were within 2/10 of a gram and the machining was perfection. Get whatever you get balanced locally. I just bought a 383 Eagle setup that was supposed to be already internally balanced. The crank counterweights were drilled but the pistons and rods were in unopened boxes. I called and they said they use the advertised weights and the piston and rod weights are close enough it don't matter. This is crap. Have a competent local shop do it right even if it cost a little more. Weight match the pistons, weight match the rods. and balance the crank to the actual weigh of your rod, pin piston assembly. Flat tops and bigger chambers will burn more efficently, less valve shrouding, more detonation resistant and be an overall better option than dish pistons and the smaller chamber.

so on flatlander racing it is 350 dollars more just for the crank to be forged....I dont think I need that I wont be pushing more than 400hp and I dont need the H beam rods for 130 dollars more. for 1025 I think the kit off summit is the best bang for the buck
