4 speed shifter

4 speed shifter
I have rebuilt the stock shifter and still have difficulty on the 1/2 side. I am thinking the linkage may be incorrect and the $70 zip linkage kit will fix it. Maybe I should just bite the bullet and get the Hurst super shifter. I hate to spend the $360 bucks jegs wants for it as I would like to up grade to the t56 someday.
Thanks for the input, if anybody has a good used shifter let me know. The car is a 75, but I think it has the earlier model 4 speed. I need to check my records, I had it rebuilt but it has been some years ago.
