Passenger Side Window
You'll need a little bit more info on this. What rivets fell out, the regulator rivets? After you replaced these rivets the window won't go up unless you pull it towards you.. Which direct is that.. Are you sitting in the car pulling the top of the glass inward, or are you pulling the glass upwards.
There are several things that will keep the window from going up. We rebuild our own power window motors here and similar to the windshield wiper motors, many given to us as a core have nothing wrong with them.
The rollers on the regulator could be binding, frozen, or even have a flat spot worn on it, teeth on the regulator gear could be bad, teeth on the drive gear may be bad, motor plate gear bushing could be bad.
One thing that will really mess with power windows is the generic outer window felts too! The flap is to large and they will create a drag on the power window equipped cars. Most people have enough mustard to crank up the window with these installed on a non power window car.
An yes.. a weak motor could also be your problem. What makes a motor week... The biggest failure we see in the motors is the armature/brush corrosion and dried up grease inside.
There are other things that can cause the glass to bind up on the way up and I'm sure if you post more info others will respond..
